Who are the Asia Film Fixers?
Both founders – Adam Martin
and Terry Gordon – live, love and work in Asia! Both have worked as
tour leaders for the world’s best tour brands. They now bring their
expertise and knowledge to Asia Film Fixer.
Adam Martin
Born in Melbourne, Australia, Adam now calls Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) home. Passionate and enthusiastic for all things Asian, Adam first came to Asia as an international tour guide leading anything from photography tours, adventure to luxury and everything in between.
Adam has gained his local knowledge and vast network of contacts by working for the world’s best travel brands – Intrepid Travel, GAP Adventures, Travel Indochina, Wide Eyed Tours, Grasshopper Adventures, Hoi An Motorcycle Adventures. Adam is a keen and accomplished photographer, and these skills come to the forefront when assisting production crews and scouting locations.
Terry Gordon
Originally from the Gold Coast, Australia, Terry learnt how to work with and manage the needs of TV and production crews when he was the public relations coordinator for the Royal Australian Air Force aerobatic team, ‘The Roulettes’. His fourteen years in the Air Force has given him a sound background in people and operations management.
Terry moved to Asia in 2005 and has spent the past 6 years organizing and leading small group journeys through Vietnam, Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, China and Japan. In 2010 Terry spent 6 months in Afghanistan as an Operations manager for Supreme Group.
Terry has worked with Channel Seven Australia’s Sunday Night; Roving Enterprises: Before the game and 7pm Project; Network Ten’s Good morning Australia , Sports Tonight and V8 Supercar productions; Channel Nine’s The AFL Footy Show and Wide World of Sport; The ABC’s ‘Sleek Geeks’ with Adam Spencer and Dr Karl; as well as numerous television and sporting personalities – Australian Olympic swimmer and TV presenter Nicole Stevenson, Winter Olympic Gold Medalist Alisa Camplin, AFL football legend Jason Akermanis, Supercar racing legends Greg Murphy and Jason Bargwanna, and Australian comedians David Hughes and Julian Schiller.

A camera allows me to hone in on scenes and people, to block out everything else for the split second it takes to capture an image. A great photograph leaves me feeling euphoric. There is really nothing quite like capturing a moment in time. The need to respond to situations or to anticipate events is what makes photography so special for me.
