Temple People & Things, Cambodia

Angkor Wat

I have just returned from a very brief sojourn in Cambodia where the rainy season was doing it's thing each day. The mornings dawned bright and sunny but around lunchtime the skies split open and and the rain hammered down. The rain took the sting out of the heat but when it finished the humidity was furious.

On the day I arrived at Angkor Wat it was overcast with the rain on it's way. The clouds become heavier, lower and more ominous amassing with intent and like well drilled troops on the given signal they unleashed their fury. I was lucky to be in the main doorway when the skies ruptured which also was invaded by fleeing folk trying to escape the deluge.
