Slinging the Big Red Net

They haven't got much but they work as a well drilled team. She gets the boat in the right position whilst he gathers up the net from the previous cast, lights a cigarette and prepares. She paddles the boat circling it closer to the water coconuts, knowing exactly when to pull up. The net is weighted with lead and has to be thrown precisely for the correct spread. It's a lot of effort for very little reward. Most of the fish caught in this manner are about the size of a cigarette lighter. On this occasion the net was empty.
