Jeeps and Vespas
Recently I met a guy who is passionate about ex army jeeps. He invited me to his junkyard/workshop to see how they rebuild them. The amazing thing is most of the parts are in the original wrappers stamped 1970 etc. Then some of his mates arrived in their rejuvenated machines. Some were done up like tarts off to a B & S and others were kept true to their original identities, brought back to life after 40+ years of neglect.
Then yesterday Vinh arranged for a group of Vespa enthusiasts to pop on by. The guys are planning a trip up north of Nha Trang in couple of weeks. One guy recently rode non stop from Saigon to Hanoi on his Vespa just to prove it could be done.
Both the jeeps and the Vespas that have been restored back to original really look fantastic. I own a 64 Vespa VBB but a jeep?
